My Week in Pictures #23

I did have a big post written up about the vote this week, I was telling you all to respect each other and try to have compassion and consideration for the half of the country which won’t get the decision the passionately believe in. However, I just deleted it in favour of a statement I just saw my good friend Sharon over at House of Herby post on instagram and it is a sentiment we could all do with remembering at this point in the debate.

We all have a valid voice and no ones is more important that anyone else’s…let’s respect each others views without hatred and judgement, after all aren’t we all just trying to do our best for the country that we ALL love?

Enjoy this historic week kids and I hope you get the outcome you hope for – may the odds be ever in your favour! x

What a pity you didn’t post your referendum thoughts. I’d have loved to have read them. I’ve been posting my own as a way of working through my decision and have found it really helpful to read the thoughts of those also facing voting. I’ve found it very useful to read the rationales of those who are both for and against as its got me thinking.

I didn’t actually talk about my vote or decision, which incidentally has never once been swayed, I spoke about what a sorry divided mess we are in and my genuine fear for the reaction after either result. I’ve never discussed my vote on social media or on the blog for two reason – I can’t be bothered dealing with any kind of backlash or trolling which happened last week just by mentioning the referendum. Secondly it’s not my place to be forcing my views on to others.
