It’s been another food packed week at GeekHQ with a couple of visits to Don Costanzos. Along with another TWO visits to McPhabbs (again)….I am such a complete addict, the fact that it is mega close to the Penthouse also helps with this.
Most excitingly this week tho was probably my visit to Good Food Glasgow on Brunswick Street in the Merchant City. These are tester events being run by the Council. Over the next 6 weeks food trucks from all over Scotland will be appearing on Fridays at Broomielaw and Saturdays on Brunswick Street. This is to test the market to find out if there is demand for a more regular pop up food truck event in Glasgow – YES! YES THERE IS DEMAND. Please in the name of the wee man everyone get out and support these events.
Mr G and I hit a few of the trucks for some tasty munchies. We had tasty coffee from Linton Coffee, a lush hotdog from FireDog, a wicked awesome Pastrami pizza from Firebird and a delicious venison pastrami slider from Rost. Also at the event were about another 5 or 6 trucks which I am planning to try next time.
Honestly guys we need to support this event – this needs to be a thing in Glasgow.
Have a good week guys and I hope the food gods smile upon you. 🙂
