Happy New Year Kids! I hope you’ve had a fantastic start to the year.
The first week of 2017 has been a pretty quiet one for me, because like about 70% of the planet I am obviously on a diet at the moment…snooze! This has lead to me being VERY boring this week, it’s been all chicken, sweet potato and visits to the gym most days.
I did go crazy on Friday night and enjoy a delicious take away from Home Wok on Byres Rd with a few buddies, which as always was delicious. After I ordered the food tho I realised that I haven’t actually done a blog post yet on my favourite Chinese take away, which just won’t do. So this week keep your eyes peeled for a review.
I also finally got round to using the smoked sugar I bought from Smoky Brae at last year’s BBC good food show. I made delicious biscuit bars topped with the sugar, and they didn’t even last 24 hours at the penthouse before they were finished (oops). I was especially surprised that MrG really liked them, because they are not something that he would usually like – I’m put his enthusiasm soleyl down to the brilliant sugar.
This week I have also been tinkering with the blog, I’ve given it a bit of a fresher look (as you can see) and I have also added a new feature – The Glasgow Restaurant Directory which is an easy to use page which will help you find just the restaurant you are looking for 🙂
So that is pretty much it, other than hitting the gym, getting my nails done at BW beauty on Woodlands, and paying a visit to George Mews for some delicious cheese that is as exciting as my low key week has been.
