In the immortal words of the Beatles – All You Need is Love……
……..well love and lots of delicious food.
And what better time to marry two of life’s greatest joys in to one lovely heart shaped day than Valentine’s of course. And whether you love or hate this uber commerical day it is fast approaching – I should know I had 6 lovely messages over the weekend from people looking for recommendations.
So with that in mind I thought I would put together a little list of my top romantic restaurants in the city…and regardless of what you are looking for I firmly believe you will find it within Glasgow.
If you want a romantic evening you wouldn’t go far wrong heading to The Chip, Guys, The Sisters or Tarantino’s. Or perhaps you have something a little more sexy in mind, in which case you should definitely think about dinner at either Blythswood Square or Spanish Butcher. Maybe you have something a little more easy and relaxed planned, in which case The Gannet, Cubatas, 111by Nico or Don Costanzo should definitely be top of your list. Or if you are a cool kid and want to hang with the hip then I would suggest you check out The Finnieston, Alston or Ox & Finch.
Regardless if you are looking for a relaxed evening or something a bit more special, what all of these restaurants have in common is that they will be serving up some of the finest food in the city, in lovely surroundings with great service. You probably don’t want to hang about tho – I know these places will book up really quickly.
